Our volunteers come from all walks of life, but have one thing in common - they are motivated by a deep concern for people and a sincere desire to make a difference.

Extensive training is offered for volunteers on the 24-hour CONTACT Helpline. Classroom training is followed by apprenticeships with experienced volunteers. Day and evening classes are offered throughout the year.

Our 24-hour Crisis Helpline provide empathetic listening as well as information and referrals to callers from Camden, Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem Counties. We provide an intensive training program that will prepare volunteers to respond to callers in all types of crisis, with empathetic, non-judgmental listening skills.
